Zelma Mae Martin

Private Graveside Services for Zelma Mae Martin, age 92, of Bonham were held at Forest Grove Cemetery, in Telephone, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Zelma passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Paris Regional Medical Center in Pairs, Texas.

Zelma was born on November 11, 1926 in Honey Grove, Texas, the daughter of Walter Stroud and Rouie Mae Stroud. She married Robert Lloyd Martin on August 31, 1947 and was married for 69 years before his passing on February 2, 2017. One of her favorite pastimes was collecting dolls. Zelma was a member of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church of God in Bonham, Texas. She dearly loved the Lord. Zelma is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Frankie Lloyd Martin, brothers, John Stroud and Delton Stroud, and twin sister, Nelma Faye Gibson.

She is survived by her son, Larry Don Martin of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, Chance Martin, Tina George, Stacy Martin, Larry Edmiston, and Ellen Straight; great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friend.
