Funeral services for Woodrow Wilson McCraw, age 96, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 29, 2013 at Boyd Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham. Woodrow's grandson, Rev. Cody Nelson, Rev. Rex Jackson and Rev. Lyn Holly will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone, Texas. Woodrow passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham.
Woodrow was born on October 27, 1917 in Telephone, Texas, the son of Willis Shelton McCraw and Ollie Sidney Mayfield McCraw. He attended the High Prairie and Telephone schools in Fannin County, Texas. Woodrow was a United States Army Air Corps veteran serving during World War II. He married Donzetta Keene on November 25, 1946 in Bonham, and she preceded him in death on October 12, 2003. He was a member of the Boyd Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. Woodrow was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.
Woodrow is survived by three sons, Jimmy McCraw and Jane Alvizo of Bonham, Texas, Mike McCraw and Tina of Bonham, Texas, and David McCraw and Mary Carter of Ravenna, Texas; three
daughters, Cheryl Coonrod and Ronnie of Ravenna, Texas, Gloria Nelson and Mike of the Boyd Community of Fannin County, Texas, and Nancy Ary and John of Denison, Texas; special friend, Mary DeLoach of Bonham, Texas;
19 grandchildren, over 20 great grandchildren,5 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family
Pallbearers will be Jimmy McCraw, Mike McCraw, David McCraw, Ronnie Coonrod, John Ary and Mike Nelson.
