William J. Farris

Funeral services for Mr. William J. Farris, age 86, of Ivanhoe, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in the Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, Texas.  Rev. Josh Lott will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Lamasco Cemetery.  Mr. Farris passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Paris Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Farris was born on October 24, 1935, in Ivanhoe, Texas the son of Woodrow R. Farris and Esther B. Adamson Farris.  He was a graduate of Ivanhoe High School and married Shirley Womack on January 12, 1957, in Durant, Oklahoma.  He was retired from General Cable but spent most of his life ranching and farming and enjoyed taking care of his family as he worked the outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Farris, sons, Ronald Farris and Pattie Sacco, Mike Farris and his wife Raye Ann Farris, and Terry Farris and his wife Karla, grandchildren, Michael McCommas and his wife Melissa, Megan Fillner and her husband Josh, Dylan Farris, Chris and Christy Sacco, Christy Capehart, Jeremy Capehart, Jeff and Brittany Jones, and Erin Jones, numerous great grandchildren, extended family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Keith Dickey, Matt Graham, Robert Rencher, Terry Holmes, David Farris and Mario Carpio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamasco Cemetery Association.

The family will receive friends at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 before the service.
