William "Dub" Carson

Duplex Community

Graveside services for Mr. William Louis "Dub" Carson, age 83, of the Carson Community, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Gum Springs Cemetery in the Carson Community.  Rev. Lyn Holly will officiate.  He passed away on Saturday morning, January 16, 2021 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

He was born on February 21, 1937 in the Carson Community of Fannin County, the son of Thomas Welch Carson and Helen Marie Clark Carson.  He was a graduate of North Fannin High School and attended Paris Junior College.  He married Mary Ann Cirkles on September 17, 1965 in Lamasco.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He worked at the M&L Phillips 66 Gas Station on Sam Rayburn Drive for many years and never met a stranger while helping those with their automotive needs.    He was preceded in death by his parents and his half-brother, Ray D. Smith and daughter-in-law Amy Carson.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Carson of Duplex

Son, Tommy Carson of Bonham and grandchildren, Cathy Huebner (Greg), Lucas Templer (Amy), Nicholas Templar (Rachel), Casey Holly (Josh), William Carson (Ashlund), and Jacob Carson.

Great grandchildren, Amelia, Stella, Serenity, Rylie, Scarlett, Zoe, Mason, Lila, Samuel, Monique, Tessa, Melvin, Charlie and Eleanor.

Extended family and a host of friends

The family will visit at the Gum Springs Cemetery Pavilion immediately following the graveside service.
