William Curtis "Bill" Wright

Graveside services honoring the life of William C. "Bill" Wright, age 81, of Leonard, will be held at 11:15 AM Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham, TX. Chaplain Mark D. Posey will officiate. Bill passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham.
Bill was born on August 5, 1931 in Dallas Texas, the son of Norman Jack Wright and Altie Beatrice Owens Wright. He married Danica Jean Lasher on August 14, 1987 in Vicksburg, MS. Bill was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War where he served as a cook and a sharpshooter. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Oliver Wright, Aubrey Wright, and James Wright. Bill was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the American Legion Post 0345 and the DAV. He retired as a crew leader after 35 years of service with Lone Star Gas in the Dallas area. He loved fishing, traveling, cooking, and sewing.
Bill is survived by his Wife, Danica Wright of Leonard, TX, Mother-in-law, Neoma Bowers of Leonard, TX, Sons,Lynn Wright and wife Judy Gay of Duncanville, TX, Ricky Wright and Roy Wright both of Cedar Creek, TX, Larry Harger and wife Marybeth of Monesson, PA, Tommy Harger and friend Teresa Black of Midland, TX, Kenny Harger and wife Lanell and Dewayne Harger and wife Michelle all of Bonham, TX, Sister,Eta May Marable and husband Davis of Mabank, TX, Brother, Owens Wright and wife Virginia of Mabank, TX,
24 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Unit at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home, 1300 Seven Oaks Rd., Bonham, TX 75418.
