Wilburn L Burns

Wilburn L. Burns passed away on January 5, 2024 at Medical City of McKinney.

He was born on November 22, 1936 in Dodd City, TX to parents J.C. and Geneva Burns. Wilburn was loved by many and known as "Porky" by his friends and family. He was a jokester at heart always trying to pull your string or aggravate you. Wilburn owned Burns Trucking and was a truck driver for VPG for 17 years. Of all the things in life he loved being a Grand Dad. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life. In honor of his nickname - "That's all, folks!" - Porky Pig

Wilburn is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Geneva Burns, wives, Peggy Burns, Geneva (Teel) Burns, brother, John Burns, and sister Anna Sanders.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Burns and wife Tammy also, son Terry Perkins and wife Betty, daughter, Tammy Murley, sister, Jewel Jetton and husband John David, grandchildren, Brandon Burns (Tara), Neisha Atkinson (Chris), Alyshia Burns (Julius Fugate), Joshua Sowels (Brittany), Caleb Sowels (Lydia), April Watters (Adam), Gregory Perkins (Jennifer), Crystal Miller, Terry Miller (Courtney), and 21 great grand children.

Please join the family to celebrate the life of Porky on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2pm @ Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
