A memorial family gathering celebrating the life of Wanda Jewel Wright, 74, of Savoy, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 in the Randolph Lindsey Cemetery Pavilion. Wanda passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Mullican Care Center in Savoy, Texas.

Wanda was born March 19, 1938 in Sherman, Texas, the daughter of Boyd Edward Blackburn and Virgie Perkins Blackburn. She attended schools in Sherman and Randolph. Wanda married Harold Leon Wright on June 29, 1955 in Durant, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death June 18, 1999. Wanda was employed as a special cleaner with Texas Instruments for many years. She was a Baptist. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jerry Blackburn, who was killed in Vietnam 1967 and Donald Blackburn and a sister, Ann Lamb.

Wanda is survived by two sons, Mitchel Glen Wright of Savoy, Texas and Marvin Gene Wright of Wichita Falls, Texas; brother, Jimmy Blackburn of Randolph, Texas; a sister, Janice Blackburn of Ravenna, Texas; two grandchildren, Donald Richard Wright of Abilene, Texas and
Rhea Katlyn Wright of Bonham, Texas; sisters-in-law, Hazel Wright and Janie Wright; and
a number of nieces and nephews.
