Funeral Services for Wanda Boyd, age 59, of Garland, TX will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. John Boyd of Dallas, Texas, with the assistance of Elder T.B. Yarbrough and Minister Maurice Thomas of New City of Refuge, Joaquin, Texas, and Pastor Greta Madden of Yeager Chapel C.M.E of Wolfe City, Texas. Burial will follow at Gates Hill Cemetery. Wanda passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016.
Wanda was born June 11, 1957, the daughter of Paul and Ella Mae Stephens Fuller. She was a graduate of Bonham High School and attended Texas A&M-Commerce. She was a retired homemaker and member of the Church of God in Christ faith. She enjoyed thrifting, garage sales and reading Bible scriptures. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and adored spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Oreo. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Fuller and Kenneth Fuller, and sister, Martha Smith.
Wanda is survived by former husband and friend, Rev. John Boyd of Dallas; sons, John Paul Boyd of Dallas, Jason Boyd of Rowlett, and Brandon Boyd of Garland; daughter, Jennifer Boyd of Bedford; brothers, Paul Fuller and William Fuller, both of Dallas, Billy Fuller and wife Lessie of Bonham, and Joel Fuller of Bonham; sisters, Juanita Yarbrough and husband Bruce of Center, TX., Shirley Massey of Dallas, Sandra Alberty and husband Charles of Dallas, Sally Robinson of Dallas, Peggy Fuller of Bonham, and Paulette King of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Riland Boyd, Isaiah Sheppard, Jeremiah Sheppard, and Mailey Boyd; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Boyd, Jason Boyd, Riland Boyd, Caleb Yarbrough, Richard Robinson, Adrean Fuller, Willie Smith, Eric Alberty, and Wendell Smith.
Flower bearers will be Angela Robinson, Coushatta Fuller, Michelle Sims, Monika Robinson, Rachel Sims, Sahasta Bennett-Larty, Sandra Kay Wiliams, Shauntae Fuller, Patricia Crossland, Barbara Schroeder, and Jessica Fuller.
Interment will be at Gates Hill Cemetery, Bonham TX following the service. The family will receive family and friends at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on 801 Star Street, Bonham, TX.
