Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and family member, Vivian Oleta Victory Lasater passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 29, 2014.

She was born to Ben and Geneva Victory on August 6, 1924. She graduated from Bonham High School in 1942, discovered the love of her life, Jacob Wiley Lasater, and they married on November 3, 1945. Mrs. Lasater followed her husband in the call to full-time gospel ministry, and she lived a selfless and sacrificial life as a pastor's wife. Her life was fulfilled by sweetly serving alongside him through children, youth, and ladies ministries at numerous churches.

In her final years, Mrs. Lasater was a church member at Greggton First Baptist in Longview, Texas, where she enjoyed being a part of the ladies Sunday school and Bible study.

Mrs. Lasater was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J.W. Lasater; parents, Ben and Geneva Victory; brother, Ben Adair Victory; sisters, Nettie Victory Daugherty, Edna Cleo Victory Dopson. She is survived by sisters, Rosa Lee Victory Park, Lela Mae Victory Hembree; children Mark and Brenda Lasater, Nan and Paul Moon, Kay and Tracey Bartley, Ken and Carla Lasater; grandchildren Dedra, Marissa, Jacob, Kristine, Kelly, Amanda, Caleb; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services for Vivian Oleta Victory Lasater will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. An informal visitation will follow.
