A mass of Christian burial for Virginia Rose Jackson, 80, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Antonio Aureus will officiate. Burial will follow in Carson Cemetery in Ector. Virginia passed away late Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Virginia was born Nov. 6, 1930 in Zurich, Kansas, the daughter of Leon C. Forgue and Alma M. Ducharm. She spent her young life in Nebraska, later moving to Colorado, where she worked in the medical field and raised her three children from her first marriage.
Virginia moved to Lewisville, Texas in 1970 and married Norman E. Jackson, Oct. 20, 1973. She continued working in the medical field until her retirement. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, three grandchildren and siblings, Jerry, Gerald, Gale and Mary Jane.
Virginia Rose is survived by her three children, Carol Rose Gurley of Sherman, TX, Linda Kay Young and David Eugene Kreider, both of Bonham, TX; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Kreider, Phillip Kreider, Michael S. Kurys, Jeffery Kurys, John A. Prutch, Jr. and Erik Pevey.
