With deep hearts, we remember and honor Viola LaRue Rhoads, who left this world on July 17, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on October 30, 1931, Viola’s long journey was marked by quiet strength and enduring grace. She was born in Bayside, Texas to Jake and Cora Gillum. 

 Through many decades, Viola witnessed the world change and grow, always meeting life with resilience and caring spirit. Hers was a presence that brought warmth and light to every gathering, a gentle wisdom that touched the lives of all fortunate enough to cross her path. Viola's faith was the cornerstone to her life. A prayer warrior and caregiver is how she will be remembered. She read the bible daily, witnessed to strangers, and lived out her faith. She was a proud member of Central Baptist Church in Bonham.  

Viola was a private woman and per her request there will be no service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.
