Tracy Ann Skinner-Wood, born on March 29, 1972, in Sherman, Texas, and passing away on July 4, 2026, in Telephone, Texas, lived a life marked by beauty, strength, and a steady devotion to those she loved dearly.

She was the kind of woman who made an impression through action more than words. Tracy worked as a home health nurse, where her care and kindness reached people during some of their most vulnerable moments. She also served as a dispatcher for Southeastern Freight in Sherman, Texas.

Outside of work, Tracy found joy in the simple and meaningful things that made life feel complete. She loved the feeling of toes in the sand and the warmth of the sun on her face. She took great pride in her house and cared deeply for her yard, tending to it with the same attention and pride she brought to everything else she touched.

Above all else, Tracy cherished being a mother. She loved being mom to the best son, and that role brought her immense pride and joy. Her love for her son Justin was steady and deep, and it remained one of the defining parts of her life. She carried that love with her in everything she did, and it was clear to all who knew her that motherhood was one of her greatest blessings.

Tracy also showed remarkable resilience in the face of hardship. After an ATV accident a few years ago, she faced recovery with courage and determination. That experience revealed even more of her strength and her unwillingness to let challenges define her. She met difficult days with perseverance, and she continued forward with the same spirit that had always carried her through life. Her resilience became another part of the legacy she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by, sister, Stacy Gray- Baker, and nephew, Jordan Gray.

Tracy is survived by son, Justin Wood and wife Trina, husband, Wesley Wood, father, Bill Skinner, mother, Carolyn Hackler, sister, Cassie Seals and husband, Chad, nephews, Eric Seals, and Cash Seals.

On Friday, July 10, 2026 her son Justin will take his mom on her final ride to the cemetery. If you would like to be part of this procession please gather at Wise Funeral Home at 9:30am and drive out together to the Leonard Cemetery.
