Tommie Don Owens

Tommie Don Owens of Crossroads, Texas passed away on July 2, 2023.

Tommie was born to parents Hoyt and Nellie Owens on May 21, 1930 in Celeste, Texas. Tommie joined the police force and enjoyed serving his community. He served at the Midland Police Department and the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Police Department. He relished in telling his old police stories and enjoyed making people laugh. Tommie was a family man and in his spare time enjoyed a good game of golf. Tommie will be fondly remembered for his love of cookies and orange slices. His sweet tooth is endearing to all that knew him.

Please join the family for a celebration of life service on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Chapel of Wise Funeral Home starting at 11:00am, with a private family visitation taking place earlier that day.

Tommie is preceded in death by his parents Hoyt and Nellie Owens, brothers, Robert Owens, Coy Owens, sisters, Mozell Woodall and Bernice Treadway.

Those left to cherish his memory, wife, Rebecca Owens and her children, Jeff (Sarah) and Janelle (Roy), daughters, Janie Caldwell (Jim), Letha Reynolds (Larry), brother, Troy Owens (Wanda), sisters, Anne Milsap, Sue Savage, grandchildren, Kyle, Jennifer, Craig, Camille, Lauren, Lindsey, numerous great-grandchildren, other extended family and many friends.
