Thomas Raymond Witmer Jr., age 40, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas.
Tom (Tommy) "Little Tom" was born on January 15, 1980 to Thomas Raymond Witmer Sr. and JoAnn Lynn Moreland in Hagerstown, Maryland. He graduated from Boonsboro High School in Maryland and later after moving to Texas, he graduated from Grayson College in Denison, Texas with his Associates in Applied Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design.
Tom enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, traveling, drafting, and reading Stephen King novels. Tom had a quietness about him but also a goofy personality that everyone loved. He was a smart, methodical thinker with patience and knew how to simplify complex problems. He met his wife, the love of his life, Charlene and moved to Texas to be with her and they were married in 2004. His smile, beautiful blue eyes and dedication to his family will forever be missed. He was truly one of a kind.
Tom leaves behind precious memories with his wife Charlene and puppy, Sampson of Savoy, Texas; mother and stepfather, JoAnn Moreland and Jerry Moreland of Falling Waters, WV, father and grandmother, Thomas Witmer Sr. and Maye Witmer of Sharpsburg, MD; sisters, Tonya Hernandez of Hagerstown, MD and Jessica Stephens and her husband, Dr. Frederick Lee Stephens Jr. of Washington, D.C.; niece and nephews, Timothy Marshall Durboraw, Summer Ann Snow and Frederick Lee Stephens III, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins that will greatly miss him.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
