Thomas Glen Tatum

Thomas Glen Tatum passed away with his family by his side on September 19, 2024 at Clyde W. Cosper State Veterans Home in Bonham, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home, Bonham, TX.

Glen was born on August 16, 1949 in Pulaski, TN to parents, Eugene and Marjorie Tatum. At the tender age of 17, Glen was drafted by the United States Army. During his service to country Glen learned the priceless lesson of hard work and dedication. He carried this trait throughout the rest of his life. He successfully owned and operated Tatum Excavating Co. until his retirement in 2011. Glen had a talent unlike no other. He could look at a piece of raw land and turn it into beautiful property. When he wasn't working you could find Glen traveling and enjoying his motorhomes. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Glen was a man of faith and this could be seen in his dedication to his wife and children. He loved Carol, Jill, and Kyle with everything he had. His spirit will live on through them and the generations to come.

Glen is preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Marjorie Tatum, brother, Eugene Tatum, and sister, Jean Alston.

He is survived by wife, Carol Tatum, daughter, Jill Price (Scott), son, Kyle Price (CJ), brother, Bill Tatum (Peggy), sisters, June Phillips, Susan Cooper (Joe), Linda Callahan (Richard), and Carol Craig (Randy), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Please join the family to honor the life of Glen on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1pm @ Wise Valley Chapel with Rodney Sprayberry officiating. A reception and gathering will follow the service at Wise Funeral Home from 2pm to 4pm. Come share a toast and memory of Glen as they celebrate his life. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Clyde W. Cosper State Veterans Home. They took exceptional care of Glen and for that we are so thankful.
