Tena has finally won her courageous battle with cancer. She has gained her wings and is now in the arms of Jesus. Tena was born November 27, 1959 in Lamar County, Texas, to Roy and Wanda Mahan Barnett. She was a very loving mother, sister and friend who was a devoted caregiver to her family and friends. Her doors were always open.
Tena is survived by her daughter, Silvia and son-in-law, Victor Juarez, grandson, Mateo Juarez; and future grandson, Leo Juarez. She is also survived by six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews; and a very close friend, Richard Allen.
She married Richard Leon Cashion, Sept. 6, 1978 in Durant, OK and he preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild and a nephew, Emigdio Chavarria Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Moores Chapel Cemetery under the direction Wise Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Friday night at Wise Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Red River Alliance Wounded Heroes at Fannin Bank, Bonham, TX or a charity of your choice.
