Funeral services for Tammy Terese Franklin Barnes, 44, of Leonard will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at the Leonard High School Gym, Leonard, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Troy Miles and Rev. Chris Cowen will officiate. Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX. Tammy passed away Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2011.
Tammy was born February 8, 1967 in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Jerry Wayne Franklin and Cherlin Elizabeth King Franklin. She was a 1985 graduate of Bonham High School and received her degree in elementary education from Texas A & M Commerce (formerly East Texas State University). Tammy was a 3rd grade teacher at Leonard ISD where she was loved by her students and parents alike. She was a Leonard City Councilwoman and was pursuing a degree in counseling. Tammy was a singer and loved music and writing. She enjoyed movies and treasured her many friendships. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Trenton, TX.

Sister, Kimberly Lea Champ of Sherman, TX,
Nephews and Niece, Jordan Champ, Connor Champ, Dalton Underwood and Madelyn Underwood,
Paternal Grandmother, Etta Franklin of Denison,
Several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
