Susan Inez Pointer, born on May 15, 1951, passed away on August 2, 2026, in Bonham, TX. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home

Susan was born in 1951 and grew up with the values of kindness, hard work, and devotion that would guide her throughout her life. She graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, and later attended the State College of Arkansas, where she continued to build the foundation for a steady and meaningful future.

In her working years, Susan was employed by an insurance company, where she was known for her dependable nature and her ability to handle her duties with care and professionalism.

Outside of work, Susan found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. She loved her animals, especially her cats, and the companionship they gave her brought her great comfort and happiness. Her home was made warmer by their presence, and her affection for them reflected the tender heart she carried throughout her life. She also enjoyed gardening, taking satisfaction in nurturing plants and watching them grow. The time she spent outdoors brought her peace and a sense of accomplishment, and she took pride in the beauty she helped create.

Susan also enjoyed needlepointing, a pastime that reflected her patience, creativity, and attention to detail. Through this craft, she expressed quiet artistry and found moments of calm and satisfaction. Her hobbies were a true reflection of her personality, as she valued the gentle and steady rhythms of life and found joy in creating beauty through care and dedication. Susan enjoyed writing letters and cooking as well.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Aurelin and Hazel Scholl, husband Jerry Pointer, grandparents, brother, Bill Scholl, and great- niece, Madalyn Rember.

Susan is survived by, sister-in-law, LaVerne Scholl, nephews, Troy Scholl and wife Angie, Luke Scholl and wife Kristi, niece Angela Rember and several cousins. There is no service currently.
