Susan Linette Goff Murphey

A celebration of life for Susan Linette Murphey, age 51, of Ravenna, Texas is going to be held on June 4, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 710 N. Center Street, in Bonham, Texas.

Susan passed away Wednesday night, May 11, 2022, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Susan was born February 23, 1971, in Durant, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ronnie Lee Goff and Melinda Gail Barnes Goff. On June 4, 1999, she married Jerry Murphey and she was the love of his life. They were married for 22 wonderful years. Their greatest times were spent raising their children and spoiling their grandchildren. Susan was an outgoing and happy individual. She wanted to take care of everyone around her. Putting others above herself is what she did best. All that mattered to Susan was that everyone was well taken care of with hugs, kisses, and funny faces. She was so funny with the best sense of humor. Susan enjoyed drinking coffee, crafting, and tending to the yard. Above all, she loved being with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Susan is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Lee Goff; grandparents, Curtis Daniel Barnes, Dixie Barnes Wheeler, Rufus and Irene Goff; mother-in-law, Louise Murphey

Susan is survived by her husband, Jerry Murphey of Ravenna, Texas; sons, Matthew Scott Ridgway of Ravenna, Texas, Jeremy Murphey and wife Mica of Frisco, Texas, and Hayden Murphey of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Ashley Drew Goff Ballard and husband Kody of Denton, Texas; her mother and father, Melinda and Ronnie Goff of Lane, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brooks Ballard, Colton Myers, and Aurora Murphey; extended family and a host of friends.
