Funeral services for Sue Carol Richardson, 75, of Gober, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Gober Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Gober Cemetery. Sue passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Sue was born May 23, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lee Derrick and Ethel Mae Edwards Derrick. She married L. D. Richardson, Dec. 3, 1955 in Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death Feb. 18, 2009. Sue was a homemaker and a member of Gober Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Joe Floyd Derrick and six sisters, Edith Edwards Jones, Lena Washburn, Murel Chambers, Ella May Tye, Georgia Lee Early and Billie Jean Blamire.
Sue is survived by ~
Son, Larry D. Richardson (Devan) of Gober,TX,
Brother, Richard Edwards Derrick of Flower Mound, TX,
2 Grandchildren, Ashley Richardson of Leonard, TX and Amber Richardson of Gober, TX,
1 Great Grandson, Kade Facundo of Leonard, TX
A number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Fox, Ricky Roberts, Jerry Polston, Johnny Babers, Leon Haggard, Ed Breach, Bob Edwards and Dale Davis.
