Funeral services for Sue Cooper, 61, of Ivanhoe, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Solid Rock First Pentecostal Church of God, 1850 South State Hwy 121, Bonham, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor Troy Miles will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Sue passed away early Monday morning, May 5, 2014 at her residence.

Dorothy Sue Chandler Cooper was born December 3, 1952 in Sentinel, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Andrew Chandler and Dorothy Lee Suiter Chandler. She attended schools in Sentinel and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Sue married Roy Kenneth Cooper on July 13, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. She was an agent and office supervisor for Workers Comp Insurance for a number of years. Sue was a member of Solid Rock First Pentecostal Church of God where she was active with the youth group, organized the special programs at Easter and Christmas, sang in the choir and was president of the church ladies group. She started the food ministry in the church in partnership with Calvary Baptist Church. Sue was preceded in death by her father.

Sue is survived by her husband, Roy K. Cooper of Ivanhoe, Texas; two sons, Gary Cooper and wife, Diana of Spring, Texas and Ken Cooper and wife, Raedene of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one daughter, Misty McLendon and husband, Kenneth of Colbert, Oklahoma; mother and stepfather, Dorothy Lee Richardson and Buford of Bonham, Texas; three b rothers, Ronnie Chandler of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Mike Richardson of Bonham, Texas and Larry Richardson of Hickory Creek, Texas; two sisters, Mary Ann Chandler of Tyler, Texas and Suanne Poole of Telephone, Texas; nine grandchildren, Nick Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Drew Cooper, Josh Cooper, David Cooper, Shawn McLendon, Victoria Cooper, Rhiannon McLendon and Elizabeth Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Nick Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Drew Cooper, Josh Cooper, David Cooper and Shawn McLendon. Honorary pallbearers will be Victoria Cooper, Rhiannon McLendon and Elizabeth Cooper.
