Funeral Services for Steve Carpenter, age 62 of Bonham, TX will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX. Officiating will be Mr. Millard Brent, Mr. Jeff Whatley and his nephew, Mr. John Carpenter. Interment will follow at Dodd City Cemetery in Dodd City, Texas. Steve passed away on April 16, 2018. He was born July 6, 1955 in Bonham, Texas to William (Willie) Jasper Carpenter and Artie Sue Lewis Carpenter.

Steve was a graduate of Bonham High School, and a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Bonham and Dodd City Church of Christ. He was employed by Los Amigos Restaurant in Bonham for 22 years. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and trains. He was an avid Texas Ranger and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved people and never met a stranger.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, William (Willie) Jasper Carpenter; brother, Richard Carpenter; sister, Leila Eutermarks; nephew, Kevin Carpenter; great-great nephew, Levi Stauss.

Surviving are his mother, Sue Carpenter; two brothers, Frank Carpenter and wife Brenda of Duncanville, TX and Joe Carpenter and wife Margie of Clarksville, TX.; sister-in-law, Ann Carpenter of Bonham, TX nieces, Mary Riggs and husband Kevin and Sharon McEachern and husband Ken; nephews, Scott Carpenter and wife Jennifer, Jim Carpenter and wife Deidra and John Carpenter and wife Patti.

Pallbearers will be John Carpenter, Joseph Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, Saul Grijova, Ken McEachern, Christian McEachern.

The family will receive friends at 10:30 AM (30 minutes before the service) on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Wise Chapel.
