Graveside services for Shirley Jean Ritchey, 74, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Valley View Cemetery, south of Gainesville, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor John Walker will officiate. Shirley passed away early Monday morning, March 28, 2016 at her residence.
Shirley was born February 11, 1942 in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Perry McCallister and Lorene Spain McCallister. She was a graduate of Meadow High School in Meadow, Texas and attended the University of North Texas. Shirley married Harvey Ritchey on May 29, 1965 in Meadow, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Meadow Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed camping and traveling. Shirley loved gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby McCallister.
Shirley is survived by her Husband, Harvey Ritchey of Bonham, Texas;
Son, Bobby Ritchey and wife, Cathy of Valley View, Texas; Daughter, Charla Moss and husband, James of Valley View, Texas; Brother, Rudy McCallister and wife, Gloria of Gunter, Texas and Grandchildren, Molly Moss, Emma Moss, Ella Ritchey and Rachel Ritchey
