Funeral services for Shirley Ann Jestis, 67 of Bonham, will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at Solid Rock First Pentecostal Church of God. Rev. Troy Miles will officiate. Shirley passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at her home in Bonham.
Shirley was born July 13, 1947 in Deport, Texas, the daughter of Harlen Whitworth and Annie Brundridge Whitworth. She loved her family and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elbert "Pete" Prater on Dec. 9, 2001, her second husband, Donald Jestis and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Jason Prater of Colbert, Oklahoma and David Prater of Bonham, Texas; two daughters, Kathy Williams and husband Brad of Bonham, Texas and Doresa Newman and husband Jack of Ivanhoe, Texas; five brothers, Randell Whitworth of Mississippi, Jerry Whitworth and Buddy Whitworth, both of Paris, Texas, Tilmon Whitworth of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Vernon Whitworth of Sherman, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Wooldridge of Collinsville, Texas; eleven
grandchildren, Brittani Smith, Kailee Prater, Raymond Ross, Kaibri Prater, Destanie Bilodeau, Amber Ross, Natasha Mandrell, Nathan Mandrell, Courtney Prater, Zach Alexander, and Taylor Alexander; seven great grandchildren, Bridget Smith, Caleb Ross, Bryson Ross, Mackenzie Smith, Dallas Smith, Bailee Smith, and Hunter Brewer; and
numerous nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be, Nathan Mandrell, Brent Treybig, Wayne Minyard, Jeffery Newman, Casey Sizemore, and Jordan Fuller
The family will receive friends at Solid Rock First Pentecostal Church of God, 1850 South State Hwy 121, Bonham, from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, Nov. 12.
