Graveside services for Sammie Ruth Green, 90, of Coppell, formerly of Fannin County, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Willow Wild Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Cody Nelson will officiate. Sammie passed away early Thursday, May 19, 2011 at James L. West Hospice House in Fort Worth, TX.
Sammie was born Aug. 11, 1920 in Randolph, Texas, the daughter of Charlie Hubbard Moore and Vera Beatrice Croft Moore. She married Paul Weldon Green, Oct. 20, 1939 in Sherman, TX and he preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2000. She was of the Baptist faith. Sammie was a radio technician for Rockwell-Collins for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her only son, Bill P. Green, DDS and her parents.
