Ruth Ellen Williamson

A memorial gathering celebrating the life of Ruth Ellen Williamson, 63, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at Wise Funeral Home. Ruth passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 25, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Ruth was born Sept. 4, 1948 in Talihina, Oklahoma. She attended East Central Oklahoma College in Ada, Oklahoma. She married Leland L. Williamson on July 2, 1965 in Oklahoma City, OK and he preceded her in death. Ruth was an Elder for the Chickasaw Nation and gave language lessons in both Chickasaw and Choctaw. She was a driver for the youth Pow Wow at Carter Seminary and was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Timothy S. Williamson and Ricky L. Williamson.
She is survived by
Daughter, Augustina "Tina" Dooley of Bonham,
2 Sons, Leland R. Williamson of Ada, OK,
Christopher M. Williamson of Oklahoma City, OK,
Special friend, Duana Janis
9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
