Rupert proudly served in the US Marine Corps in Korea for 6 years during the Korean Conflict.

Rupert (Cannonball) Cannon Sr. passed away on July 10, 2017. He was born August 21, 1935 in Locksburg, Arkansas to Emmitt Luther Cannon and Doncie Ashford Cannon.

Rupert was preceded in death by his, parents, Emmitt Luther & Doncie Ashford Cannon, daughter, Mary Lee Cannon; sister, Maxine Cannon; brothers, Jerry Franklin Cannon, Lonnie Carol Cannon and Stewart Lance Cannon; step-son, Raymond Wingrove.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Karen Jean Cannon; daughters, Sharon Fogle and husband Skeeter of Telephone, Texas, Margaret Gist and husband Barry of Ravenna, Texas, and Polly Nicely and husband Eddie of Telephone, Texas; 7 step-daughters, Debra Yager, Donna Yaklin, Laura Ahee, Kitty Champagne, Pam Antkowiak, Sharon Brown and Karen Borders; sons, Rupert Lee Cannon, Jr., and wife Dawn of Telephone, Texas; step-son, Jessie Soper; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other surviving family include, Number of nieces and nephews.

Cremation services under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham.
