Memorial services for Roy Roger Wheless, 70, of Ravenna will be held at the Ravenna Community Center on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Roger's request was to be cremated.
Roger was born August 26, 1944 in Lamesa, Texas, the son of Roy O. Wheless and Urath Celia (Alexander) Wheless. He served in the US Army from 1964 to 1967. Roger married Diane Dragolich Passanisi on January 6, 1990. He was a self-employed automotive mechanic until he became disabled. Roger has lived in the county for the past 40 years.
Roger is survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Joseph Passanisi and wife, Alicia of Ravenna, TX, Josh Wheless and wife,Trish of Ada, OK, and Matthew Passanisi and wife, Sandra of Sherman, TX; daughter, Katie Passanisi Russell and husband, Jonathan of Hurst, TX; Brother, Phillip Wheless of Bonham, TX; grandchildren, Jared Russell, Kory Sangster, Kortanee England, Jacob Sangster, Tony Passanisi, Alex Passanisi, Christopher Wheless, Ryan Passanisi, Ayden Wheless, Jordan Passanisi, Mia Passanisi, Angel Rogers, Audrey Wheless and Quin Passanisi; Aunts, Imo Jo Moore and Tommie Lou Green; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sisters, Patsy Jean Schumaker and Gail Wheless.
Roger was loved by many people and will be greatly missed, but now he soars above.
