Funeral services for Ronald Charles "Ronnie" Partridge, 65, lifetime Fannin County resident, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Cody Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery. Ronnie passed away early Wednesday morning, March 5, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Ronnie was born February 26, 1949 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Lester Reece Partridge and Ella Mae Minnick Partridge. He was a 1967 graduate of Bonham High and attended Navarro Junior College in Corsicana on a baseball and football scholarship. Ronnie was a Baptist and enjoyed camping, fishing, and sports, especially baseball. Ronnies biggest joy in life was the title of "Papa". He worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad for 19 years and he recently retired from the City of Bonham Parks and Recreation Department after 22 years. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, LaVerne Hanna.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathie Patton and husband, Randy;
son, Casie Partridge and Kim Hope;
granddaughter, Parker Allyson Patton; grandsons, Cameron Patton and Colby Patton; brothers, Bill Partridge and wife, Saleta, Gene Partridge and wife, Rojuan and
Lyndell Partridge and wife, Norma;
uncle and aunt, James and Joy Minnick; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Partridge, Derek Partridge, Rebel Peeler, Micah Rich, James "Bubba" Minnick and Jeff Patton. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Shockley, Bryan Peeler, Ronnie Hill, Taylor Tilley, Cody Tilley, Colton Tilley, Hunter Harrell, Dallas Barnett, Cameron Patton, Jett Peeler and Colby Patton.
