Ronald Ray Morrison

Ronald Ray Morrison entered the presence of Jesus on February 12, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham.

Ronald was born on October 24, 1964, the 6th child from the union of Virgie Mae Smith and Theodore Morrison in Bonham. Ron graduated from Bonham High School in 1983. During his school years he loved playing basketball. After graduation he worked at V.P.G (Voluntary Purchasing Groups) for many years. He later went on to work for general cable until its closure. Ron's last place of employment was at Eaton in Sherman. Ron was a devoted family man and father. He married his high school sweetheart LaQuita Rayford and together they have two sons, Ty and Chauncy Morrison. Ron was overjoyed when the Lord blessed him with his grandchildren, Journi Elyse and Darien Malik who lovingly called him Pop Pop. Ron became everyone's Pop Pop and he also had a special place in his heart for Ava, Lennox, and Ariel.

A celebration of life for Ron will be Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1pm @ Wise Funeral Home Chapel. The night before the family will gather to share memories, laughter, and rejoice in a life well lived for their beloved Ron. This will be from 5pm to 7pm at Wise Funeral Home.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Virgie and Ted Morrison, brothers, Mitchell and Mark Morrison.

Those left to cherish his memory, wife, LaQuita Morrison, sons, Ty and Chauncy Morrison, mother-in-law, Doris McKinney, siblings, Sandra Phelps, Jerry Morrison (Katie), Lydia Rayford,  grandchildren, Journi Morrison, Darien Morrison, nieces, Crissy, Ashley, Shanice, and nephews, Whitney, Dadrian, and Clifford.
