A Celebration of Life with US Naval honors for Robin Ray Warren, age 73, of Ivanhoe, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Wild Horse Creek Camp & Cowboy Church 2992 CR 2285 Telephone, Texas, Fannin County. Pastor John Salem will officiate. Robin passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family and friends.
Robin was born September 26, 1947 in Athens, Texas, the son of Charles David Warren and Robbie Lee Sherman Warren. He was a 1966 graduate of McCollum High School in San Antonio, Texas. He joined the United States Navy on Sept. 29, 1964 while still in high school. He faithfully served his country through the Vietnam Era and received various medals, ribbons and awards. He retired as a CT01 on Oct. 31, 1997. Following his retirement from the US Navy, Robin owned and operated RRW Service & Repair restoring old houses from 1997 until 2004. In 2004, he came to Fannin County to work on the restoration of the buildings at Lake Fannin and remained there as caretaker until 2014. He was a HAM Radio operator with friends in numerous towns and countries. Robin was a member of CERT and for a time served on the Fannin County Historical Commission. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Michael Warren.
Robin is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Rae Devlin of Fredricksburg, Virginia and Stacey Evelyn Garner of Honey Grove, Texas; a sister, Karen Page of Ivanhoe, Texas, and 8 grandchildren, extended family and friends.
