Funeral services for Robert Emmett Babers, Jr., age 78, of Arlington, TX, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, TX. Burial will follow in Moores Chapel Cemetery. Robert passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 in Arlington.
He was born November 25, 1933 in the Cotton Center Community of Fannin County, TX the son of Robert Emmett Babers and Rollie Cassie Miller Babers. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a Mason. He married Mary Sampson on February 4, 1959 in Arlington, Texas. Robert was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Robert Babers and brother W.T. Babers and sisters Minnie Madeline Babers-Ross, Juanita Katherine Babers-Wigley and Bennie Jo Babers-Glover.
He is survived by:
Wife, Mary Sampson Babers of Arlington, TX, Daughter and Son-in-law, Kathie Babers Jacobus and Steven Wayne Jacobus, Sisters, Mary Alice Wood of Gonzales, TX and Betty Sue Elwood of Howe, TX, 2 Grandchildren, Raymond Walter Jacobus & wife, Sheri and Kristopher Wayne Jacobus & wife, Jodi, 6 Great Grandchildren, KayLeigh Amanda Jacobus, Zachary James Allen Jacobus, Lilly Rea Jacobus, Rodney Jayce Emmett Jacobus, Lonnie Jade Wyatt Jacobus and Steven Zane Jacobus
