Robert Lewis Allen

A Visitation for Robert Lewis Allen, age 66, of Ector, Texas will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Wise Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements will follow. Robert passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Bonham, Texas.

Robert was born on July 19, 1954 in Brownsville, Texas, the son of Ravon Lewis Allen and Jimmy Waters Allen Wheaton. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Robert was an inspiration to his family. He was unable to finish school but that did not hold him back. He did more than he imagined he could. Robert worked in the oil field and as a foreman for an electric company. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing at the lake and working on vehicles in his workshop; but his fondest pastime was spending time at the park with his grandkids. Robert wishes for his family to remember his stubbornness, his love for his family, and his unconditional love for his wife of 46 years, Jerri. His final message to his family and friends is that he will love you always. Robert will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jerri Allen of Ector, Texas; sons, Billy Wheaton of Atlanta, Texas, Jonathan Allen and girlfriend Melissa Hernandez of Leonard, Texas, and Ravon Allen and wife Nicole of Vidor, Texas; daughters, Michele Canada and husband Eddie of Frisco, Texas, Kristina Holliday and husband Brian of Ector, Texas, and Stacy Hilliard of Leonard, Texas; brother, Jerry Neal Allen of South Carolina; sisters, Shanelle Howze and husband Jeremy of Abilene, Texas and Cindy McClanahan of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Breanna Ott, Jacob Townsend, Preston Canada, Emma Canada, Tyler Hilliard, Lauren Hilliard, Brodey Allen, Gunner Allen, Kaylee Holliday, Kylee Holliday, Madison Holliday, Sean Allen, and Beaux Holliday; great grandchild, Araya Hilliard; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
