Riggin Dean Shires, lovingly known to many as “Little Frog,” was a precious baby boy who went to be with Jesus on July 20, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 30, 2026, in McKinney, Texas, and in his brief time here, he brought immeasurable love, tenderness, and joy to those around him.
Riggin was a happy little boy whose sweet spirit touched the hearts of his family and all who had the blessing of knowing him. He was a cherished son and a beloved little brother to Samantha, who adored him deeply. Though his time on earth was far too short, his presence was full of warmth and innocence, and he will always be remembered as a precious baby boy whose life, however brief, left a lasting imprint of love.
He was known by the affectionate nickname “Little Frog,” a name that reflected the delight and tenderness he inspired in the people closest to him. Riggin had a gentle way of being that made him unforgettable. He loved eating, and even in the simplest moments, he reminded those around him of the beauty found in small joys and everyday blessings. His sweet personality and happy nature brought comfort and happiness to his family, who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Riggin’s life was a sacred gift, and his family will remember him not only for the love he gave, but also for the love he received so freely. He was deeply adored and held close in the hearts of those who cared for him. His days were filled with the tenderness of family love, and he was surrounded by affection from the moment he arrived into this world. Though his earthly journey ended far too soon, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him most. Riggin was an organ donor and through him many will get the chance at life.
He is preceded in death by, great-grandmother, Judith Heim and great-aunt, Amy Arington. He leaves behind parents, Theresa and Riggin "Cody" Shires, sister, Samantha, grandparents, Patrick and Catherine Hicks, Kimberly Arrington, great-grandparents, Alice and Melvin Hicks, aunts, Lacy Shires, Catalina Hicks, Mary Hicks, and great uncle, Kenneth Arrington.
