Graveside services with military honors for Richard Gary Carpenter, 65, of Bonham, will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2011 in the Carpenter family cemetery. Clifford Jones will officiate. Richard passed away Thursday morning, July 7, 2011 at Red River Regional Hosptial in Bonham.

Richard was born March 14, 1946 in Dallas, Texas, the son of William Jasper "Willie" Carpenter and Artie Sue Lewis Carpenter. He was a graduate of Bonham High School and attended East Texas State University and Texas A & M University. Richard married Ann Spencer, Dec. 22, 1966 in Bonham. After 29 years of service, he retired as a Major with the Army National Guard. Richard was a bail bondsman in the family owned business, Carpenter's Bail Bonds. He was a member of the Church of Christ faith. Richard was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Leila Carpenter Eutermarks.

Grandchildren, Katarina, Mykaela, Cole, Cade, Madeleine, Isabella, Collin, Christian, Richard Carl, Spencer and Carter
Brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted Eutermarks, Bill Spencer (Peggy) and Vickie Spencer
Several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends

Pallbearers will be Frank Carpenter, Joe Carpenter, Steve Carpenter, John Carpenter, Ken McEachern, Kevin Riggs, Scott Carpenter, Jim Carpenter, Rick Dickson and Ronnie Coonrod.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
