Obituary

Rebecca Sue Wilson, age 55, of Trenton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2026, leaving behind a life marked by love, steadfast strength, and devotion to her family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.

Rebecca was born on December 23, 1970, in Topeka, Kansas, and from the beginning, She carried the kind of presence that could not be overlooked. She was passionate, loving, and spirited, and those qualities were reflected in the way she lived each day. Rebecca had a firecracker personality that brought energy and honesty to every room she entered, and she was known as a strong woman who met life with courage and determination.

Rebecca worked for Buena Vista Sod and Turf as a truck driver, a role that suited her independent nature and her ability to keep moving forward no matter what challenges came her way. Whether she was on the road or at home, she approached life with a steady resolve and a heart that remained deeply connected to the people she loved. One of Rebecca’s greatest joys was fishing, which remained her all-time favorite pastime. She found peace and happiness in those quiet moments by the water, where she could enjoy the simple beauty of the outdoors. She also loved farming, a passion rooted in her family history and inspired by her father, who was a farmer. That connection to the land and to the legacy of hard work shaped an important part of who she was.

On May 28, 2018, Rebecca married the love of her life, Billy Wilson, and together they shared a bond built on devotion and love. Rebecca treasured the life they built and held close the memories they made in the years they shared. Their sons became brothers and the family Billy and Rebecca always dreamed of was joined together. Above all else, Rebecca loved being Grammy to her grandchildren. Her heart was fullest when she was with them, and she embraced that role wholeheartedly.

Rebecca's memory will be cherished by husband, Billy Wilson, sons, Donald Perry and wife Megan, Kyle Malone, grandchildren, Jim Perry, Anastasia Johnson, Patty Perry, Kasey Webster, Karley Malone, Kourtney Malone, Camden Malone, siblings, Buffy Owens, Johnny Owens, nephews, Dakota Browning, Delta Browning, Colton Browning and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by sister-in-law, Lisa Wilson, father-in-law, Odell Wilson, and good friend, Jim Perry.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm at Wise Funeral Home. The funeral is Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10am at Bois D’Arc Creek Cowboy Church with Pastor Kevin Lane officiating.
