Phillip Wayne Golden Jr. was born on June 25, 1966 in Childress, TX to Elizabeth Jane Sullivan Golden. He passed away on July 16, 2026 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home, Bonham, TX. 

Phil's early years were spent living with his mother and grandparents, J.W. and Valta Sullivan in Southlake, TX. Phil was later joined by siblings, Lary, Donna, Eugenia, and Brian. Phil attended the University of North Texas, majoring in computer science. He worked for the U.S Geologic Service and moved from home to San Antonio, TX. He later went to work for AT&T which brought him back to Fort Worth. After fighting complications caused by diabetes, he was forced to retire and move in with his parents in Bonham, TX. 

He leaves behind grieving parents, Douglas and Elizabeth Brister, four siblings, and a niece. The family will gather at Wise Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm to honor the life of Phil.
