Philip Rodney Wheless

Graveside Inurnment Services for Philip Wheless, age 65, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 PM on March 23, 2019 at Forest Grove Cemetery in Telephone, Texas, under the care of Wise Funeral Home.  Philip Rodney Wheless passed away on March 14, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.  He was born on March 19, 1953, in Stanton Texas to Roy Oliver Wheless and Urath Celia Alexander Wheless.

Philip was a man that was passionate about classic cars. He worked alongside his father Roy at their business, Roy's Used Cars, for most of his life. He enjoyed travelling, being with his family, playing with his dachshunds, watching NASCAR, and having an ice cold Natural Light while listening to a variety of music. Philip never hesitated to help those in need and there was always a room under his roof for them. His family was his world, and he was theirs. He was a man that would always listen to your problems or be there for good conversation and lots of laughs. You would never leave his home without an "I Love You." He was a family man and was the rock. Philip is going to be very sorely missed, but he never cared for wearing black and shedding tears.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Urath Wheless; brother Roger Wheless; sisters Patsy Jean Wheless and Dana Gail Wheless.

Surviving are his sons Rodney Evan Wheless and wife Kelsea of Bonham, Danny Head of Euless, and Bobby Clanton of Bonham; daughter Christina Wheless of Bonham; nephew Josh Wheless of Ada, Oklahoma; Grandchildren Marlana Barber, Aaron Barber, and Jarred Head; several loving cousins, friends and his fur-babies Sadie, Itty Bitty, and Maximus.
