Peggy Jane Smith

Peggy Jane Smith passed away on August 5, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born to James and Dovie Thomison on December 7, 1941 in Dodd City, Texas. Peggy was one of seven children. She went to Dodd City High School and from a young age had a love for animals. After living in Dodd City she moved to Garland, Texas and that is where she lived most of her adult life. She worked at Sam's Club for many years and always enjoyed working there. Peggy will be fondly missed for her kindness and beautiful smile.

Peggy is survived by her children, Trala McAnally, Karen Schmidt, Wes Trammell, sisters, Caroline Winkles, Ann Hinkle, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A graveside service to honor the life of Peggy will be Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Moores Chapel at 12:00pm.
