Graveside services for Peggy Jo Huff, 74, of Dodd City, will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Owens Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Lee will officiate. Peggy passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at her residence.
Peggy was born April 1, 1939 in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Erza Pearson and Lela Belle Culbreath Pearson. She attended school in Ivanhoe, Texas. Peggy married Wayland Huff on Dec. 24, 1957 in Bonham. She worked hard all of her life at Bonham Manufacturing and other difficult jobs. You couldn't ask for a better wife, mother, grandmother, sister and all around wonderful person. She was a very giving, caring and loving person who always worried about others, and put their needs before her own. She was one of a kind. Peggy was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, David Dewayne "Buck" Huff and Jerry Ray Huff, three brothers, Claude Pearson, Bobby Pearson and Billy Pearson, and four sisters, Magalene Petty, Beulah Stevenson, Estelle Woodall and Louise Porter.
Peggy is survived by her
husband, Wayland Huff of Dodd City, Texas, a daughter, Deborah Jo Huff of Dodd City, Texas,
two brothers, Thomas Pearson and J. Lee Pearson, both of the Danner Community of Fannin County, Texas, a sister, Yvonne Darwin of Bonham, Texas, seven grandchildren, Jaime Roberts, Kirsten Brian, Miranda Embree, Mallory Huff, Jessica Huff, Jared Huff and JoeDavid Huff, eight great grandchildren, Hunter Vaught, Stormey and Kason Carson, Caleb and Colton Brian, DavidDaniel Roskowske, and Aisley and Lochlan Embree, and daughters-in-law, Norma Partridge and Karla Huff of Dodd City, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Darwin, Steve Pearson, Paul Eric Pearson, Lyndall Pearson, Tommy Pearson and Keith Pearson.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
