Bonham

Dr. Pamela Walker, 86, passed away at home 4 Feb, 2022 surrounded by her children. Her life
will be celebrated at Wise Funeral Home in Bonham, TX 14 February at 1 PM. She will be
interred at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, OK at a later date.


Born Pamela Martha Arnold in Houston, Texas to Cecil and Gardina Arnold, she married Gene
Bert Walker in 1957. Pamela received a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of
Texas, a Master's degree in Psychology followed by a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology
from the University of Oklahoma in 1979. Pamela successfully practiced Counseling
Psychology for over three decades focusing on treating children, family and personal counseling.


Pamela was a gifted homemaker, dedicated member of the Episcopalian church, substitute
teacher, volunteer in multiple service and social organizations, amazing gardener with a green
thumb for every plant she touched and an avid bridge player. One of her great goals was realized
when she traveled in Eastern Europe to Prague, Czechia exploring her family's roots.


Widowed in 1995, she moved to Bonham, TX to be near family.


She is survived by her brother, Cecil M. Arnold Jr. and his wife Larry of Dallas and her sister
Sally R. Simpson and her husband Bert of Bonham, TX; as well as her children, Karen D.
Walker-Bradley of Bonham, TX, Gene Bert Walker Jr. MD of Escondido, CA, and Christopher
A. Walker of Norman, OK, her step-daughter Janet M. Cochran and her husband Bob of Pine,
CO, her 6 grandchildren: Austin Walker and his wife Nicole of Austin, TX, Kimberly BradleyBrentlinger and her husband Brian Brentlinger of Colorado Springs, CO, Madison WalkerMcFarland and her husband Derek McFarland of San Diego, CA, and Jackson Walker and his
partner Izzy Lambert of San Diego, CA, Tanya Gheres and her husband Tom of Fountain, CO,
Terry McManus of Denver, CO, and 4 great-grandchildren in addition to several nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, and grandchild, Jesse Cochran.


Pam was deeply spiritual and attended St. Steven's Episcopal Church in Sherman, TX.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Cognitive Neuroscience and Dementia Research at
Johns Hopkins Medicine or to St. Steven's Episcopal Church.
