Funeral services for Mrs. Jeannie Pierce Martin, age 70, of Quinlan, Texas, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Wise Funeral Chapel, 219 W. Sam Rayburn Dr., Bonham, Texas. Rev. Shannon Salsman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Carson Cemetery, Ector, Texas. Mrs. Martin passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at her residence.
Jeannie was born on March 14, 1945, in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Albert Franklin Pierce and Addie Jewel Farris Pierce. She attended schools in Dodd City and Cosmetology Schools in Dallas and was a licensed beautician. Jeannie married Troy Martin and the enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors and was a member of the North Shores Gospel Church in Quinlan, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Dorothy Graham and James and Frankie Pierce.
She is survived by her husband Troy Martin of Quinlan, Texas; daughter Crissy Martin of Quinlan, Texas; sisters, Doris Donaldson of Payne Springs, Texas and JoAnn Hatley of Midlothian, Texas; Grandchildren, Brighton McKenzie Martin and Tonya Jean Martin; sisters-in-law, Ruby Burch and Mildred Martin.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Chapel from noon until service time on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
