Nancy Fern Duncan

Nancy Fern Duncan, 88 of Bonham passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018.  She was born June 14, 1930 in Abilene to Charles Harkey and Migg Thornton Harkey. Nancy married Richard Max Duncan on September 23, 1950.

Her proudest accomplishment was obtaining her teaching certificate. She touched many lives in both San Antonio ISD, Richardson ISD and Austin ISD.   She received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and her Masters of Education from East Texas State Teacher's College (Texas A&M-Commerce).

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Richard Max Duncan; parents, Charles Harkey & Migg Thornton Blankenship; sister, Annadell Turnbull; and brother-in-law, Marshall Turnbull.

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Mullenix and husband Jackie of Bonham; two sons, Richard Max Duncan, II and wife Karen of Plano and Charles Duncan of Bastrop, TX; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Mullenix, Max Duncan and Charley Duncan; three great-grandchildren, Ehren Mullenix, Charlie Duncan, Jr and Tynlee Duncan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
