Morgan Reese Grubbs

Committal services with military and Masonic rites for Morgan Reese Grubbs, Jr. will be held at 10:15 A.M. Monday, March 2, 2015 in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Wise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Reese passed away Tuesday night, February 24, at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans home.
Reese was born January 17, 1932 in Floydada, Texas, the son of Morgan Reese Grubbs, Sr. and Mattie Elizabeth Summers Grubbs. He was a graduate of Floydada High School and attended Lippert Business College in Plainview, Texas. Reese was a US Air Force veteran and a banker with Compass Bank. He married Joanne Huckabay on July 4, 1954 in Floydada, Texas. Reese was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Floydada for 60 years and also the Kiva Shrine in Lubbock. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Lubbock. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Alice May.
Reese is survived by his wife, Joanne Grubbs of Dallas, Texas; son, David Reese Grubbs of Decatur, Texas; daughter, Dori Gubberman of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Billy Joe Grubbs of Dallas, Texas; and 3 grandchildren.
