Funeral services for Mildred Louise "Bill" Moore, 92, a lifelong resident of Gober, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 11, 2011 in Gober Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Dr. Steve Hunter will officiate. Burial will follow in Gober Cemetery. Mildred passed away early Friday, April 8, 2011 at Seven Oaks Nursing & Rehab in Bonham.
Mildred was born May 31, 1918 in Gober, Texas, the daughter of James Lolar Martin and Netha Ann Tollison Martin. She was a graduate of Gober High School. Mildred married Paul Wiseman Moore, Nov. 7, 1943 and he preceded her in death, June 20, 1979. She worked as a printer operator for Hennington Studios for 37 years (1956-1993) and was a homemaker. A longtime member of Gober Baptist Church, Mildred taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years and cleaned the church each week until the fall of 2010. She loved to cook and was faithful with meals at the church and other community events. Everyone loved Mildred's chocolate pies and cracker pies. Mildred was a member of the Gober Community Center and Farm Bureau. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Juanita "Sis" Daugherty and Mattie Maxine "Sally" Williams and her only nephew, John Talmadge Williams.
She is survived by ~
Niece-in-law, Majana Garner Williams,
2 Great nieces, Debbie Echols and Tami Wheeler,
and 1 Great nephew, John Michael Williams, all of Van Buren, AR
A host of great great nieces and nephews
Many friends and church family.
Pallbearers will be John "Rusty" Echols, Jason Echols, Marc Wheeler, Todd Wheeler, Eric Williams and Zach Echols.
