Mildred Josephine Bumpas

Funeral services for Mildred Josephine (Vermillion) Bumpas, age 93, long time resident of Ivanhoe, Texas, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Rex Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. Mildred passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Seven Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bonham.
Mildred was born on September 28, 1920 near Bonham, Texas, the daughter of John Rector Vermillion and Stella Maud Clements Vermillion. She married Otto Bumpas on February 2, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1990. Mildred was primarily a wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Boyd Baptist Church.
She is survived by:
Son: Jack Bumpas and wife Linda of Wataugua, TX
Daughters: Tandy Roll of Bonham
Becky Farris and husband David of Ivanhoe
Grandchildren: Dustin Farris and wife Whitney, Drew Farris and wife Samantha, Travis Roll
A number of great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Mildred was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, John Rector J.R. Vermillion Jr. (KIA WWII) March 30, 1945, Carroll Lynnwood Vermillion; Dec. 11, 2003 and Allen Wayne Vermillion; September 23, 2011.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday.
