Visitation with Military Honors for Mr. Robert Michael (Mike) Granstaff, age 66, of Bonham, TX will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Wise Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas. Mike passed away on June 24, 2017 Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
He was born October 6, 1950 in Sherman, Texas to Robert Charles Granstaff and Ila Jean Hicks. He was a US Army Veteran for over 9 1/2 years, he received his Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Armed Forces Expeditinary Medl, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal-2 D Award, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Vietnam Campaing Medal, Mechanics Badge. He worked at Oak Farms for over 5 years, Carls Sausage in Whitewright and Bonham Independent School District over 21 years. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, camping and mechanic work.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Charles Granstaff & Ila Jean Hicks Morton, and Step Father, Mark Morton, Mother-in-law, Averil Crain, Step Mother-in-law, Lea Crain.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Toni Jo Granstaff; daughters, Sabrina Clifton and husband Cole of Bonham; sons, Michael Wayne and wife Donna of Bonham; grandchildren, Gracie Jean, Paige Marie, Isabella, Conrad Barron, Marcus Barron, Holly Clifton, Chaezeney, Luke, Taylor, Nicole and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Emily Grace Hashert; sisters, Cathy Wilson and husband Don of Lannius
Deborah Morton Phillips and husband Larry of Dodd City; brothers, Rickey Granstaff and Debra of Dodd City and other surviving family include, Father and Mother-in-law: Earnest and Beverly Crain
Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and extended family and a host of friends
