Michael "Mike" Howard Horton

A memorial gathering for Michael Howard "Mike" Horton, 66, of Telephone, TX, will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 at Wise Funeral Home.   Mike passed away Monday night, Dec. 13, 2021 at his residence.

Mike was born Dec. 13, 1955 in Gainesville, Texas, the son of John Henry Dean Horton and Bonnie Lucille Leslie Horton.  He was a 1974 graduate of Bonham High School and attended Grayson County College and Southeastern State University in Durant, OK.  Mike married Joann Elizabeth Crowley on Aug. 1, 1998 in Wills Point, Texas.  He was a mechanic and enjoyed woodworking, being outside, fishing, tinkering and doing "man stuff".  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Joann Horton of Telephone, TX; two daughters, Lori Ann England of Mansfield, TX and Jennifer Lynn Pina (Tony) of Bonham, TX, stepson, Thomas C. Adair of Fort Worth, TX; two step brothers, Mike Magouirk and Danny Magouirk; 5 grandchildren, Nathaniel England, Victoria England, Savannah England, Randall Starr and Madilyn Garza; great grandson, Jeremiah England; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
