Funeral services for Chief Petty Officer (retired) Michael Everidge, 68, of Bonham, will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at St. Paul CME Church in Bonham under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Ed Washington will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Gates Hill Cemetery. Michael passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center Nursing Home Care Unit in Bonham.
Michael was born Sept. 29, 1942 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Henry Everidge, Sr. and Beatrice Walton Everidge. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Michael was a 25 year US Navy veteran who served in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of St. Paul CME Church. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert Reed and Henry Everidge, Jr. and a sister, Emma Jean Williams.

Sisters: Emma Robinson of Bonham
Mary Harris and Rose Wilson, both of South Bend, Indiana
Numerous nieces and nephews including Sharion Traylor who was his caregiver and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time Saturday at St. Paul CME Church.
