Mattie Lee Parrish Tredway Barker

Mattie Lee Parrish Tredway Barker was born October 1, 1928 in Archer City, Archer County, Texas to Miles Alvin "Preacher" Parrish and Willie Norma Roberts Parrish. She died Feb 4, 2017 in Van Alstyne, Texas.
She attended Shawnee & East Ward schools in Graham followed by Graham High School & Windom High School where she graduated in May 1946.
She was the oldest of three children. Her brother Miles Perry Parrish was born and died July 30, 1934 in Archer City. She is survived by her younger sister Norma Aline Parrish Cornell who lives in Decatur, Texas.
She married Loyd "Boose" Tredway on August 10, 1946 in Sherman, Texas. From this marriage she had four children who survive her: Barry Loyd Tredway & wife Karon of Van Alstyne, Tx, Linda Tredway Wright and husband Larry of Huntsville, Tx, Joy Tredway and husband James Stewart of Gladewater, Texas, Nick Tredway Sr., and wife Karen of Wolfe City, Texas.
She is also survived by a very special sister-in-law/friend, Lois Tredway of Richardson, Tx.
She is survived by fourteen grandchildren: Barry Loyd Tredway Jr., Shawn Tredway, Shanna Tredway Hartsfield, Layne Whitfield, Benjamin Tredway, Laura Wright Nelson, Amy Knoten Polhemus, Amber Stewart, Ashley Tredway Wright, Nick Tredway Jr., Rebecca Tredway Aviles, Hannah Tredway, Justin Perdue and Jodi Walker.
She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren: Harley Tredway, Blake Loyd Tredway, Tanner, Taylor and Tatum Hartsfield, Jack and Brant Nelsen, Brennah and Abigail Polhemus, Caden Schroeder, Emily, Lanie and Aubrey Wright, Max and Dane Tredway, Avery and Kayden Aviles, Rayleigh Hobbs, J.R., Nancy and Olivia Perdue, Lilah, James and Bentley Tredway
She divorced Loyd Tredway and later married Albert J. Barker in Mesquite, Texas. She survived both of these husbands.
She worked for a short-time as a beautician in Odessa, Texas and later as a grocery cashier retiring after 19 years in Granbury, Texas.
The viewing will be held at Wise Funeral Home in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas on Monday February 6th at 1:00 p.m., and the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Forest Hills cemetery in Tigertown, Texas in Lamar County west of Paris, Texas, following.
